Environment Three:
Three Islands
One of three Environments for Task Three for Modelling to Camera.

This environment was the most challenging of the three for all of its many slight details, and I think I am quite pleased with the final result.
I began making the islands with Polygon cubes and thought the best route would be using the Multi-Cut Tool to make a hexagon shape. I experienced several frustrating turns with this, and I decided to scrap it and start over. I created a Polygon Cube and altered the Subdivisions Axis to make it the proper shape.

The Sea House Island was relatively challenging. The most challenging aspect of the work was the roof. I initially began by using two Polygon cubes, but it consistently caused issues with its transformation and rotation. After a consultation with my teacher, I was informed of an alternate tool: the Extrude tool.
The Car Road Island had the most challenges. From the car’s windows and the road technical errors, to modelling the trees and its branches. The road was fairly challenging, until I realised a tool to apply (Soft Select) would help me choose several vertices while slowly translating the vertices further from the ones I chose. The car had more technical errors, while the trees were a challenge since they were not simple shape branches and required more attention to its details.
The Space Shuttle Island was counterintuitively the easiest of the three. I used Sphere polygons and the extrude tool for the hull of the space shuttle, and a polygon Cube with the vertices translated and rotated for the legs. The craters were made of Polygon Spheres.
